Cleared are working with a leading Cyber based Technology company and are seeking a skilled NV2 Windows System Administrator to ensure the smooth functioning, security, and efficiency of our organization's Windows-based systems and servers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Windows environments. Collaboration with other IT teams will be crucial to deliver dependable and scalable solutions. Your contribution will be pivotal in maintaining a secure and robust IT infrastructure that supports our business operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, both in physical and virtualized environments.
Monitor system performance and address issues proactively to maintain optimal uptime and responsiveness.
Implement security measures, including user authentication, data encryption, and firewall configurations.
Ensure regular system backups and test disaster recovery plans.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems promptly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new solutions, updates, and upgrades.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure data integrity and security.
Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security trends.
Automate routine tasks through scripting and configuration management tools.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Skills and Attributes:
Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory management.
Exposure/Experience with VMware, Veeam backup, and SQL Server.
Experience administering Exchange Server.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and services.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for task automation.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
Adaptability to changing technology landscapes.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or similar role.
Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or related certifications are desirable.
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques.
Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience with configuration management tools is a plus.
Knowledge of compliance standards related to system administration.
Minimum NV2 Australian Government security clearance.
