About the opportunity…
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team, working in our ELMO Software HQ Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our organization, as well as assist with any new ‘special’ projects and become a super user of ELMO’s financial systems. The Financial accountant will report directly to the Group Financial controller whilst working closely with the Deputy CFO, as well as the broader finance team - Salary $90-100k
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of purchase price allocations for any acquisitions and be responsible for integration of new business/system into ELMO’s current financial system
Assisting the Senior Financial Accountant with month end management reporting
Analytical review of monthly/half-year and annual results to assist in variance reporting
Implementation of new accounting standards or policies within ELMO
Preparation of technical papers required with adoption of new accounting standards or changes to the business as required
Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Liaise with the external audit team during the annual reporting period, collating information to provide to auditors and responding to queries where required
Proactively identify and drive continuous improvement within financial reporting processes
Partner with business unit finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance with accounting and disclosure related matters
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with Accounting Software programs/Business Intelligence tools (preferably Netsuite, Salesforce, Xero or alike)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
