Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements.
• Analyse existing systems for improvement opportunities.
System Design and Development
• Design scalable software architecture and data models.
• Develop clean, maintainable code for core functionalities.
UI Design and Testing
• Design intuitive user interfaces.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure software reliability and performance.
Documentation and Deployment
• Document design and implementation for reference and training.
• Deploy and maintain software in production environment, applying updates and patches as needed.
Security and Compliance
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with regulations.
Collaboration and Improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends for continuous improvement.
Experience and Skills Required
• 4+ years in a commercial software development environment.
• Highly proficient in Python development.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and web development.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks.
• Solid understanding of software testing and design fundamentals.
Additional skills that would be considered favourably.
• C/C++ experience.
• Advanced networking experience/knowledge.
• High-performance computing/large-scale message passing systems.
• Development and ongoing support of SaaS style products.
• Working with cloud computing systems (Azure/AWS).
