Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced Welder-Metal Fabricator to join their successful team in South Australia. The role will include assisting the workshop with metal fabrication repairs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Welder-Metal Fabricator is responsible for manufacture and repair work on metal products and structures
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules
• Performing repairs and replace defective worn or metal parts
• Study blueprints/drawings and specifications for each job
• Dismantling and removing components, and checking parts
• Select, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabrication
• Mark out metal sections and cut using appropriate tooling
• Align joins, join metal sections using welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Examine welds and clean, polish, file and acid bathing for finish
• Smooth and grind welds as appropriate
Qualifications required:
• Experience within a similar role
• Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of fulltime experience
• Have a good eye for detail
• Must have intermediate or above computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.
• Be motivated and able to achieve targets
An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.
This is offered at basic salary of between $ 60,000 - $ 90,000 p.a + Superannuation
