Team Leader (Aged Care)

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to support and develop a team of 50+ passionate community workers who provide a wide range of in-home care services to the elderly around Brisbane.

In this role, you will provide coaching, ongoing support, and direction to a geographically dispersed team with the goal of achieving exceptional customer service. Along with being the daily point of contact for your team, you will also conduct interviews and inductions for new care workers, manage individual and team performance, and drive safety initiatives. 

You will also manage payroll and other admin tasks, ensure compliance targets are met and handle customer escalations with support from the management team.

In this permanent full-time role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely while also engaging with your team in-person within the community. 

About you:

  • Proven team leadership experience supporting large teams within community, call centre, retail, hospitality or similar industries.
  • You will have the ability to build trusted relationships, communicate with empathy whilst maintaining professional boundaries with your team. 
  • Previous experience within the Community/Aged Care industry would be great but not essential.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills with an ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong passion for compliance and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching, having difficult conversations and performance managing frontline teams.
  • Stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Leadership plus Training and Assessment are desirable.
