This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with at least 4 years post-graduation experience, who has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and proven management skills, a desire to nurture the development of junior vets and nurses if required, and is comfortable consulting, diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy.
Bonus points (and the first round of coffee on us) if you have good time management and you’re an approachable coach, or should we say ‘Captain’, who’s natural style is to mentor in a collaborative manor.
Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and on-hand advice from our Specialist network, as even the most senior of Vets can learn new tricks!
Leadership doesn’t have to be all consuming, so you’ll design your roster with Jess that offers a balance to your work and personal needs. No late nights or excessive weekends, just a 4 or 5 day week and the odd weekend rotation.
You’ll also have an experienced Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help cover the management, clinical standards and financial elements of your role. That’s the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network - you’re not in this alone!
(And yes, these three are just as quirky as your clinic team… maybe even slightly more so).
