Your new company Your new company Our client is a well known Australian organisation based in the heart of the Gold Coast, operating as an industry leader, committed to providing excellence to their clients. They are seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to meet the growing demands of the market. This position will require a motivated individual who is confident in payroll processing, possesses a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume environment. With calculated growth and a long-term strategy in place, they have a proven track record of success and a strong reputation. Your new role As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to processing payroll transactions, onboarding all new employees, resolving discrepancies, ensuring procedures are always followed, superannuation calculations and tax obligations, reconciliations and any other ad hoc duties as required. Additionally, you will need to have effective communication with a variety of people at all levels of the organisation and liaise with clients professionally. Key Responsibilities: Assist in end-to-end processing of company payroll and time and attendance Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries Maintain payroll system and ensure accurate data transfers Generate reports for payments and month-end reporting Provide regular reporting on People Metrics for board reports Assist with compliance checks to meet legislative obligations Build relationships with customers and stakeholders Contribute to change projects and system improvements Maintain confidentiality at all times What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, busy environment. Additionally, you will have the following Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 3 years of payroll experience with multiple awards and EA's Strong computer literacy, especially in spreadsheets and word processing Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels Analytical mindset and keen eye for detail Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks Self-motivated, flexible, and responsible Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment Strong learning agility and adaptability What you'll get in return This position is ideal for a hard-working, confident and enthusiastic individual.
