Senior Business Analyst I 12 months contract - Unsecured lending experience is mandatory Your new company My client is one of the four largest financial institutions in Australia in terms of market capitalisation, earnings and customers. They are looking for a Senior Business analyst with an in-depth understanding of financial products, processes and systems. Your new role As Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary liaison between the IT and business end-users. You'll also work with the business to analyze business requirements and produce documented and approved specifications for any new or change to technology applications and/or business processes. Responsibilities Responsible for capturing and grooming requirements into epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with the squads that aligns with business requirements. Perform analysis (scenario, policy, customer, data, gap, change, etc) in order to articulate business need and solution requirements. Produce As Is and To Be Process Models Develop process models, data models, business rules, target operating models, workflows, reporting and other required outputs Ensure the Delivery and Development teams understand the value of each user story that is being delivered at the right time Works with the Product Owner to understand, elicit, analyse, document and communicate business requirements and articulate product vision with a strong focus on value delivery Assists the Product Owner to define and own the value definition of stories, including facilitating and influencing the prioritisation of the backlog Expert in translating end user / customer insights into Epics and Stories complete with Acceptance Criteria, which can easily be understood by the development Team and Traceable Participates in workshops Analyse the impact of proposed solutions holistically in order to produce Business Impact Assessments Qualifications Unsecured lending experience is mandatory Banking/Fin services experience is also required. Understanding of collection processes within Financial Services (Preferred). Extensive experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with HCD techniques. Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams, developing it into a shaped backlog of key features, user stories and goals for individual sprints Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a cross-functional business and IT team through the discovery, development and operational usage stages of change.
