Lead our privacy & governance charge and shape a responsible future. We're looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager to join a Data Management team and champion data privacy as a core foundation of our client's data strategy. You'll play a critical role in ensuring responsible data usage across the organisation, from establishing robust governance frameworks to collaborating with senior stakeholders on mitigating data risks. Key Responsibilities: Data Privacy Expertise: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures to safeguard individual rights and comply with evolving regulations like GDPR and CCPA. Conduct data privacy impact assessments and manage data breach response protocols. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure strong data security controls are in place. Data Governance Management: Support adherence to data governance principles, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust data governance framework aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives. Partner with business units to understand data needs and implement data governance practices that enable responsible data sharing and utilisation. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the enterprise to advocate for data privacy and governance as core values. Communicate effectively with data councils and leadership teams to ensure clear understanding of data risks and mitigation strategies. Develop and deliver training programs to improve data literacy and compliance across the organization. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance and/or data privacy roles. Proven track record of developing and implementing data privacy policies and procedures. Deep understanding of relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and modelling. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization. Previous financial services experience highly regarded.
