The Role and Responsibilities:
As a Tug Scheduler, you will ensure towage services are being met by:
- Safely manage and internally allocate tugs and crew to all vessels assigned to come in and out of the Gladstone Port
- Ensure customer requests as well as GPC exclusive Harbour Towage license conditions are being met
- Maintain multiple platforms including Helm and QShips
- Monitor VHF radio, liaise with crew and VTS via email and phone
- Work together as a team to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Provide consistent and precise data entry, handle telephone calls, emails and messages on a 24/7 basis
- Identify and rectify potential scheduling conflicts, delays and emergency situations and communicate changes quickly to those involved
- Communicate scheduling assignments to crew members and action any questions or concerns
- Schedule maintenance, bunkers and waste disposal around the schedule
- Maintain an overview of all Harbour Tug operations on 24/7 basis
- Work independently and confidently on a rotating shift roster
- Comply with current Enterprise Agreements for all crew members in line with company Fatigue Management rules and regulations
- Submit accurate and timely reports as required by the company
- Completing and compiling accurate invoices for submission to agents in a timely manner
