About the role:

Your role will include visiting elderly customers in their homes to deliver services and programs to help them maintain their independence and feel confident doing the activities they love. The majority of the customers are based in the Penrith/Nepean region of Sydney.

You will help customers to build their strength, balance and mobility, as well as support them to manage chronic health conditions including cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes and dementia. You’ll conduct assessments, support care plans and implement intervention strategies so customers can remain at home for as long as they wish.

You will also work closely with a multidisciplinary care team of Nurses, other Allied Health staff and Home Care Workers to support customers’ overall health and well-being. Working autonomously, you’ll communicate regularly with families, other clinicians and the KinCare team to plan, implement and evaluate tailored physiotherapy services for your Customers.

This is a casual role (3-4 days per week) between 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, with work from home options also available. 

About you:

  • Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Current national registration with AHPRA
  • Community experience highly desirable as well as knowledge and experience in delivering the Otago Exercise Programme or similar
  • Permanent full-time or part time availability
  • Full Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • The ability to be flexible, resilient and to make strong decisions
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly, previous experience an advantage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
