The Opportunity We are seeking Managers to join the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide. The EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services Team has recently been recognised by Verdantix as the global leader in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) consulting. Our Oceania business comprises a multidisciplinary team of more than 200 passionate professionals providing support and advice to clients across all market sectors. We are the leading sustainability consulting practice in Oceania, and work across the full spectrum of sustainability and climate change issues, including ESG strategy, outcomes measurement, climate risk and decarbonisation, work health and safety, human rights and modern slavery through advisory and assurance engagements. We recognise that the ESG and decarbonisation imperatives are central to 'Building a Better Working World', and are committed to supporting our clients and communities in managing the transition Your key responsibilities Leading engagements to support organisations to identify, develop and deliver climate change strategies that address risk and opportunity. Leading business development of EY's Climate Change services in Sydney or Melbourne and achieving sales targets Building trusting relationships with EY clients and leveraging those relationships to generate business opportunities Leading the go-to-market plan for EY's climate change services, enhancing market presence in Sydney or Melbourne and supporting the execution of EY's climate change services strategy Fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment while applying technical expertise of climate change to direct project teams on delivery of EY's climate change services What we're looking for Here's our 'wish list' but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go. To qualify for the role, you have • Tertiary qualification, such as in engineering or environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, law, organisational development, research methods or international development • Knowledge and experience in climate and energy policy and standards, climate risk and opportunity assessment and decarbonisation strategy • Practical experience with energy and emissions reporting schemes including National Greenhouse Emissions Reporting (NGER) scheme, the Safeguard Mechanism and the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF); as well as climate risk advisory experience such as experience with the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Framework. • Financial or non-financial assurance experience and awareness of relevant standards including those developed by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and associated local regulation • Outstanding project and time management skills. • You will have 9 + years experience of relevant professional experience and 2+ years leadership or management experience Ideally, you'll also have Professional services/consulting Facilitating training/workshops Industry and/or government What we can offer you Explore how a career at EY is yours to build at www.ey.com/au/careerdevelopment Discover how, when and where you can work at www.ey.com/au/flexibility Learn about our commitment to DE&I at www.ey.com/au/diversity-inclusiveness Understand how our benefits can support you at www.ey.com/au/benefits Acknowledgement of Country EY acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which EY offices are located around Australia.
