Process Improvement Engineer

We are seeking a driven and experienced Process Improvement Engineer to join our plastics injection moulding facility. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and upholding our uncompromising standards for product quality. Moreover, you will contribute to our reputation as specialists in delivering supply chain solutions and drive our increased use of recycled materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization which includes conducting thorough assessments of our manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean & Six Sigma principles and industry best practices
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating process performance, making necessary adjustments to meet production targets and maintain product quality
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to address process-related challenges and implement sustainable solutions
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by leading and participating in problem-solving activities and facilitating Kaizen events as required
  • Training and mentoring production team in Lean methodologies and best practices
  • Monitoring and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process improvement and sustainability initiatives.
  • New Product Development Support ensuring that new product designs are manufacturable with maximum efficiency and minimal defects
  • Performing feasibility studies and process assessments for new product concepts, offering valuable insights into materials, production methods, and equipment requirements
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new products
  • Collaborate with R&D and design teams to facilitate the smooth transition of new products from prototypes to full-scale production
  • Data Analysis and Reporting, including reports to management and recommendations
  • Promoting Sustainability and  leading efforts to incorporate recycled materials into our production processes, striving to increase the use of recycled content in our products.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to source recycled materials and develop sustainable supply chain practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to sustainability initiatives, tracking progress and environmental impact
