What You'll Do
As the Head of Capital Works and Network Operations for EV Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the successful delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects across Australia. Reporting to CEO – NRMA Energy, this critical leadership role will drive a small, committed team to deliver this infrastructure against ambitious targets to meet increasing customer demand.
This role is preferably based at our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home and sites across Australia as agreed and required.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Lead a small team of project managers to plan, execute, and deliver EV infrastructure projects within budget and on schedule
- Develop comprehensive and detailed scopes of work (SOW) for EV infrastructure projects, clearly defining project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and quality standards
- Lead price and schedule negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain the best pricing for materials, equipment and services
- Manage and develop strategic supplier and partner relationships, including the provision of advice and assistance to key stakeholders on issues pertaining to contracting and procurement activities related to the program of work
- Understanding of procurement and supply chain best practice, commercial law and methodologies for the procurement of goods and services for construction works
- Contractor onboarding and management ensuring they are away of project requirements, safety protocols and performance expectations
- Work with Legal Counsel to develop and maintain Master Services Agreements (MSA) with contactors and vendors
- Monitor and report contract costs, schedules and status to recommend or implement corrective actions as necessary to maximise the profitability of the contract
- Build and maintain a detailed cost stack for each infrastructure project, breaking down expenses into categories including labour materials, equipment and contingency
- Implement quality control measures to guarantee the reliability and performance of EV charging stations, identifying any potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
