Come and discover the opportunity to join our Commercial team as a Senior Commerical Specialist based in Port Kembla or Sydney NSW, Melbourne VIC or Brisbane QLD. In this exciting role in our International Trade Affairs team, you will have the opportunity to become a trusted and key Subject-Matter-Expert to the business and have a direct impact on our bottom-line performance by addressing unfairly traded import competition. You will actively participate in and support transformation projects across the team, focusing on business process improvement. This will see you involved in the strategic development, management and execution of all Anti-Dumping and Trade Affairs matters for our Australian Steel Products business (ASP).
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys informing and influencing strategic outcomes for the business. Full guidance and support will be available as you develop your knowledge and understanding of trade affairs. The role will also provide you with the opportunity to present your work and be visible to senior stakeholders internally and externally, raising your profile in the organisation.
What Will You Do?
With direct contribution to the delivery of our strategic imperative of fair trade, you will:
- Undertake data analysis and modelling for pricing and cost trends across the ASP businesses, as well as globally
- Support activities and initiatives required in the preparation and lodgment of ASP/ASM AD applications
- Develop an in-depth understanding of, and commercial implications and opportunities for, the application of the rules-based anti-dumping framework
- Lead the execution of other domestic anti-dumping initiatives
- Support the representation of our business in all direct dealings with the Anti-Dumping Commission, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and U.S, EU and other Government trade agencies in international trade remedy and FTA matters
- Contribute to providing guidance to the business to ensure understanding of relevant trade implications of decisions, actions and strategies

A self-motivated, experienced professional, your excellent communication skills and inclusive approach will give you the opportunity to shape the way we work. In addition, you will bring:
- tertiary or post-graduate qualification in a business-related field Commerce/Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics
- competency using systems such as SAP, Cognos, Power BI, D365
- exceptional communication and negotiation skills to influence others including senior management and government officials
- a proven ability to make sound decisions based on the business's commercial interests
- high attention to detail
