The Opportunity
Come and discover a career with us at Orrcon Steel at our Clayton South branch. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll play an important part in our warehouse operations, performing a range of tasks including loading and unloading products on and off trucks, operating machinery and equipment, as well as general despatch duties. Full training will be provided as part of the comprehensive induction program, and ongoing support to learn all aspects of the role allowing for future career development opportunities.
We currently have multiple positions across varied shifts (please be sure to note your preference in your application):
- Day shift 6:00am – 2:06pm
- Afternoon Shift 2:00pm -10:06pm
- Night Shift 10:00pm – 6:06am
These opportunities include a competitive hourly rate, applicable shift penalties, as well as eligibility for our profit share plan (bonus incentive scheme). What Will You Do?
You will learn and be responsible for receiving and storing materials, assembling and loading orders, and dispatch duties, you will also:
- safely load and unload trucks and customer pickups
- operate forklifts, cranes and other processing machinery and equipment
- pick and pack from stock on-site to create orders
- be responsible for the safety of yourself and your co-workers
- ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through your service levels
