The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Processing and Logistics team at our Coopers Plains Logistics Terminal as a Day Shift Supervisor. Reporting to the Logistics Site Leader, you will lead a team of 10 team members working with our logistics partners to deliver exceptional outcomes for our QLD Customers.
In this fast-paced site that handles over 400,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

What Will You Do?
Leading our skilled day shift team, you will:
- build and sustain an effective team capable of producing exceptional standards in safety, quality, lead times and delivery in full, on time measures
- support and assist your team with daily tasks
- ensure that all shifts are working collaboratively to drive improvement of all operational processes
- plan, coordinate and control the receipt, storage and dispatch of material
- lead and control inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensure the accuracy of our stock holding
- ensure safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified

As a safety focused leader focused on developing your team to deliver creative solutions to complex problems with an enthusiasm to see your team succeed, you will bring:
- experience supervising within an operations, warehousing or logistics environment
- an ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team
- strong leadership, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
- demonstrated ability to motivate and influence a team
- ensuring safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- computer competency and willingness to learn our systems (e.g. SAP).
