Healthengine

Healthengine company logo

This is your opportunity to join a team of forward-thinking, change-making individuals transforming healthcare experiences. Operating at the intersection of two fast-growing industries – health and tech – you’ll play an active role in shaping the future of healthcare in Australia.

We're proud to share that Healthengine ranked 13th Best Workplace in Technology 2023.

Our Mission

Healthengine is a purpose-led business, and Australia’s largest consumer healthcare platform, helping people navigate the complex world of healthcare. We’re on a mission to improve access to healthcare by helping Australians find and connect with all primary care providers. Healthengine’s platform brings together a leading range of healthcare practices, healthcare specialties and health ecosystem partners in a suite of integrated offerings to help people get a better experience across each step of their healthcare journey.

We’re all patients, right? So, it’s easy to get behind a mission that seeks to improve the healthcare experience for all Australians.

The Gig

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our SaaS products and deliver transformative experiences to both health providers and patients.

We expect you to provide leadership in this domain. That includes market research and engaging closely with our customers and partners, gathering critical insights to help you craft a compelling product strategy and roadmap; but also working collaboratively with fellow product people, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders across the business, translating that strategic thinking into real, highly-valued, and commercially viable products.

Responsibilities:

  • Define a comprehensive SaaS product strategy aligned with the company's overall vision, market trends, and customer needs
  • Support and execute targeted market research activities to identify new opportunities, assess competition, and gather customer insights to inform product decisions.
  • Create and maintain a clear and well-communicated product roadmap that outlines the product's vision, features, and release timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and legal, to align product development efforts with broader operations and ensure successful product launches.
  • Define and prioritise product requirements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business goals.
  • Ship the product roadmap by ensuring that design and engineering have clear product acceptance criteria, documented decisions, and use case clarity.
  • Take ownership of product outcomes, by collaborating with customer success teams to drive customer adoption, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Analyse product performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Equip the sales team with the necessary product knowledge and tools to effectively communicate product value to prospects and clients.
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and make strategic adjustments to keep the product ahead of the competition.
  • Identify and address potential product risks, such as operational bottlenecks, product scalability issues, or legal compliance concerns.
  • Support the execution of strategic partnerships and integration opportunities to enhance the product's value proposition and reach.

About You

You flourish in a fast-moving, agile environment and thrive in a tech culture where growth is inevitable. You’re a strategist with the ability to dream big and chart the path to achievement. You’re a master of productivity, have exceptional time management and can make swift decisions. You excel in communication; listening, questioning effectively and crafting compelling narratives. You’re a collaborator who works with others to create compelling, functional products. You have high emotional intelligence being very self-aware and empathetic towards user/customer challenges in product development.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • +5 years experience in the Australian healthcare sector, with a bias toward understanding the General Practice and Dental markets
  • Senior product management or product leadership experience is preferred, particularly in an agile and cross-functional environment, with a subset of that experience in an established SaaS business.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering and supporting a recognised/high-traffic product to market.
  • An affinity for effective design; understanding UI/UX principles and the pillars of a well-designed product.
  • Solid understanding of applicable frameworks, technologies, and services, with a commitment to stay updated with industry trends.
  • Ability to champion the perspective of both users and customers through the product development process.
  • Strong experience with core product management skills such as prioritisation, MVP thinking, development of a vision/strategy, customer interviews, market research, A/B testing, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, modelling, agile and lean thinking, roadmapping, and use of product development tools.
