Keeping out the cheaters and making the game environment fair for everyone is an important and a rewarding struggle. We want to give people the chance to show off their skills without having to contend with players running aimbots.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to work with us on XDefiant, a new multiplatform online multiplayer action game. The game is a free-to-play, fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense gunplay with personalized loadouts and specialized factions, as teams of gunfighters battle for domination.
You will be entrusted with protecting the game client from hacks and exploits, hardening the code and data running on the player’s PC, and blocking people who want to cheat the system. You will be an essential part of a team holding the player’s connected experience as the core of its mission, ensuring that players compete on a level playing field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Secure the game client and its interactions with the game servers
- Integrate and maintain external anti-cheat tools and services in the game engine
- Investigate exploits and cheats happening in our game and others
- Collaborate with other engineers to improve the game’s security
- Educate content creators and gameplay engineers on how to maximize game security
- Maintain and extend documentation on security best practices
