Searching for Sampler to be part of the Team in Newcastle. This will be on a casual basis and training will be provided for the right candidate.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Assist leading hand in daily activities.
- Ensure operations are performed in accordance with instructions.
- Carry out routine clerical functions in respect to time sheets, shift reports and job records.
- Manual Sampling of trains, ships, stock-piles/ stopped belts.
- Operate Mechanical sampling systems.
- Help to provide routine sampling and sample preparation instructions.
- Assist in the training of trainees.
- Take and prepare samples as required.
- Identify, store and dispatch samples as required.
- Carry out physical tests e.g. size analysis, hard grove grind ability index, total moisture, etc.
- Carry out general equipment maintenance.
- Check weights, calculations, cleanliness of equipment, etc., when results obtained do not conform to expectations.
- Assist in the laboratory as required.
