Events Delivery Lead

Australian HR Institute

The Australian HR Institute is the professional body that sets HR standards and certifies HR professionals across Australia.

Join our dynamic team at AHRI (Australian Human Resources Institute) as an Events Delivery Lead (National). We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to lead the end-to-end coordination and delivery of major national events, including our National Convention and Exhibition, DEI Conference, IWD Conference, AHRI Awards, and other key activities.

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and follow-up of major national events.
  • Create and manage project plans, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage event budgets in coordination with finance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for goods and services, managing contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communication, web development, and customer experience teams for event promotion.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external providers.
  • Liaise with speakers, facilitators, and external event organizations.
  • Manage communications with registered delegates, ensuring timely updates.

Administration:

  • Provide event administration for all national AHRI events.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date event and customer records on the AHRI CRM.

Finance and Reporting:

  • Provide accurate and timely event reporting and registration recording.
  • Manage event budgets, control costs, and coordinate financial transactions.
  • Use AHRI systems to ensure CRM integrity and application of CPD points.
  • Coordinate retrieval and distribution of financial and event data for reporting.

Staff Coordination:

  • Collaborate with GM, Sales Marketing and Events for project allocation.
  • Undertake functions such as recruitment, selection, orientation, and performance management.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching for staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years experience in planning and executing national events.
  • Strong negotiation and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficient in event-related software and CRM systems.
  • Leadership and staff management experience.
