The role - what you’ll do
We are seeking a new General Manager to lead our APAC region, which includes the direct leadership of the sales function. Reporting to our CRO, Glen Foster (https://www.linkedin.com/in/glenfoster1/ ) who is based in London, you'll run a team of revenue generation specialists with the support of small leadership team who head up Account Management & Customer Success, New Business and Business Development. You'll also have a small Marketing team and a People and Finance team to support on a day to day basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop and lead a diverse team to deliver against revenue and active client growth targets.
- Represent Dext externally as the senior representative for APAC, owning the strategy and budget needed to win the market. This will include working alongside the Chief Revenue Officer and the Senior Leadership team, to ensure alignment with the global company strategy.
- Provide expertise on local market dynamics and needs. Ensure central functions (esp. product, marketing, CS) understand those needs, and hold them accountable for delivering to them.

- Cost Management to P&L goals
- Employee NPS, Retention and Success.

About you - what we are looking for
Skills
- Ability to recruit, develop and coach the Dext APAC team; managing people on their team for the full 'life-cycle' of their time at Dext
- Building and owning the employee culture in APAC
- Set the strategic direction for the APAC business, translating strategic direction into regional-specific sales and marketing strategies and tangible implementation activities.
- Has a strong grasp of the key business KPIs and has the ability to accurately forecast revenue and costs
- Ability to define, refine and improve marketing, sales and customer success methodologies
- Is experienced at influencing at the highest levels - working both at the C level and also with other directors within the organisation
- Strategically highly competent. Ability to set and execute on a vision which maximises value for us and our customers
- Ability to work collaboratively to create a strong go-to-market proposition for their market, targeting prospects, and translating customer needs, whilst accounting for internal capacity and competency. The output of this work should be a clear plan for achieving predictable, on-target revenue for their market.
- Ability to identify, negotiate and execute strategic partnerships with relevant market players to help drive sales and customer growth.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape we operate in; keeps abreast of the value proposition and limitations of competitors within the same space as Dext, as well as newcomers entering the market.
- Clear understanding of our full product suite and the value it can provide customers. Keeps up-to-date with all new releases, and proactively builds knowledge of upcoming features / services into sales strategies for the coming months.
- Experience of successfully managing a commercial team in a fast growth SaaS environment, closing deals at various levels of complexity, and generating expansion revenue. Understands how to lead a multi-functional sales team; ideally should have experience leading the pre- and post- sale commercial function(s) in a hyper-growth environment (+40-50% YoY growth).
- Strong understand of SAAS metrics and KPIs as well as levers to improve performance of key metrics over time
