They have significant mobile, land, and infrastructure assets nationwide, including 22 distribution centers and a fleet of more than 2,000 vehicle assets. They offer heavy haulage and bulk transport services, including specialist tyre transportation, fuel transport, as well as port discharge, vessel management, and heavy lift services. Your new role We are seeking a Night Shift Yard Supervisor to join an Operations Team in Mackay. The ideal candidate would be dynamic and safety-conscious, with excellent management skills to supervise yard operations and ensure that all freight is processed and delivered safely within contractual timeframes. This role will work closely with our other internal operations teams, Branch Operations Manager, and Divisional Manager for our regional network. Duties:
Oversee and manage operational activities to ensure timely delivery of freight.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team.
Manage team training, performance, and schedules.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the operations management team.
Ensure a safe working environment by reporting and investigating safety incidents or concerns to your manager.
Ensure compliance with all relevant OH&S requirements.
Adhere to quality systems and procedures.
Investigate and manage non-conformances.
Foster a strong team culture.
What you'll need to succeed
Drivers Licence - must have
Forklift Licence - desirable
Relevant industry experience
Experience in a supervisory / team leader role
Process and improvement systems experience
Excellent time management skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
