Reporting to the Dewatering Superintendent you will work a 14/7 roster (FIFO/DIDO options available) and contribute to the efficiency and expertise of the Fixed Plant team and wider project. Purpose of the Role: The Dewatering Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Dewatering Superintendent in overseeing the installation, commissioning and maintenance of water systems, dewatering systems, compressed air systems, water treatment plants, pipeline reticulation, both surface and underground. Qualifications: Trade or Qualification in Mechanical or Equivalent ability White Card Driving License Experience: Extensive experience in civil or tunnelling construction, typically 5 years of experience in a supervisory role Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording. Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental Management Experience in Quality Management Experience in Planning & Resourcing Required Competencies: Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations Ideally an understanding and exposure of Reverse Osmosis Plants Ability to supervise team members, produce method statements and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards Demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude. Ability to lead and manage teams Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages. Good communication skill, both oral and written Self motivated. Mechanical or Electrical Trade background Ability to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results Sound interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure Good organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail The ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment The ability to work well under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer skills, competent using maintenance systems Ability to drive performance and the lead a team.
