The property is mainly cotton and majority of the role will entail all aspects of cotton cropping. Operating John Deere machinery, you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in ground preparation, cultivation, planting, spraying and assisting during picking season. ?The sprayers run on this property are mostly camera sprayers, so you will need to possess the ability to mix chemicals unsupervised. A chemical handling/safety certificate is not necessary to be successful in gaining this role, but you must be willing to obtain one during your employment. Mechanical maintenance on machinery will also form part of this role thus strong aptitude with farm machinery in particular is highly regarded. Property maintenance is another aspect of this varied role, with dozers, graders and excavators used for numerous tasks so experience with earth moving machinery is highly valued in this position.?The be considered you must be responsible, organised, clean & tidy and possess good communication skills.
