Plant Operator (Multiskilled) 1720 | Construction & Maintenance Central | Charlton Depot Closing date: 22/01/2024 JOIN A WORKPLACE THAT HAS RICH TRADITIONS AND BOLD AMBITIONS About the position: The Plant Operator (Multiskilled) position is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment within the Toowoomba Region. The position works as part of a multi-skilled team to complete program objectives for the construction and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure networks. This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot. The base salary for this position is $1,129.6206 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.  In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, over time, asbestos allowances, wet weather). How to be successful in this position: Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the position: Mandatory Current ‘HR’ Driver’s Licence. Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LE’ – Excavator ( 2L engine capacity) or RII Competency, or equivalent. WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LS’ – Skid Steer Loader ( 2L engine capacity) or RII Competency, or equivalent. WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent. Substantial experience in operating related plant, including operating an Excavator and Skid Steer. Desirable Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LB’ – Backhoe ( 2L engine capacity) or RII Competency, or equivalent. Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LL’ – Front-End Loader ( 2L engine capacity) or RII Competency, or equivalent. WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LG’ – Grader or RII Competency, or equivalent. WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LR’ – Road Roller ( 2L engine capacity) or RII Competency, or equivalent. Traffic Control Accreditation. Traffic Management Implementation (MUTCD) Licence. Current Forklift ‘LF’ Class High Risk Work Licence. High Risk Work Dogging (DG) Licence. Safe Work Near Exposed Live Parts (SWNELP) (Ergon) training.
