In this role, you'll: assist the Senior Project Engineer in the development of maintenance and construction program as well as monitor and report project progress to ensure project delivery as per agreed milestones and cost. This Project Engineer Level 1-2 role is suitable for entry level graduate engineers and also for more experienced engineers. The pay scale for this role will be negotiated with the successful applicant according to their skills and work experience. The Project Engineer Level 1-2 role will be responsible for: - developing and delivering road maintenance and construction projects to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives to ensure that agreed project milestones and costs are met. The position involves project delivery, site work and travel across the New England region and at times you will be required to work away from home in order to deliver remote projects. Transport has flexible working arrangements in place, however as this is a delivery focused role responsible for leading teams you will need to be available to work from other locations within the region. About you You will have tertiary qualifications in civil/structural engineering and have experience in the design, construction, inspection and/or maintenance of pavement, road and/or earthworks infrastructure. You will have demonstrated ability in the analysis of pavement infrastructure information, interpretation of plans and geotechnical reports, survey, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling. You have experience in managing a direct control workforce to successfully undertake construction and maintenance projects. You will be a proactive analytical thinker and possess high level communication skills. The ability to astutely manage time and work collaboratively and closely with stakeholders to deliver is paramount, as is your dedicated commitment to safety and quality.
