The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of commercial aptitude, strategic thinking and problem solving.
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for (1) growing our book of business by penetrating new accounts, (2) engaging and mapping multiple business units and functions, (3) proactively lead with insights to set Euromonitor as their key solution provider. This is a proactive, activity driven role where success is ultimately measured in activities completion rate and revenue growth. The AM & CSE must be confident and self-motivated, and keen to work closely with clients and drive the commercial agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure new contracts and increase the client base with new corporate accounts.
- Develop client relationships
- Penetrate the clients’ organizational structures, understand their strategy, key business priorities, and processes through extensive mapping and strategic planning.
- Network with key decision makers across multiple functions within the organization.
- Identify client needs and apply relevant solutions to address it, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor’s product portfolio and research methodology.
- Encourage more information sharing to allow clients' and prospects' participation in our research
- Successfully convey benefits of Euromonitor’s methodology, establish Passport as must-have, develop partnership style relationship.
- Manage the sales process to successfully progress, win deals, and achieve monthly and annual targets
- Collaborate with industry teams:
- Develop product offering to meet the changing needs of our client base.
- Leverage research and industry expertise into the client base.
- Effective internal coordination and willingness to learn from your management to identify gaps and development opportunities
Skills/Proficiencies Required
- At least 2 years of experience, generating new business within FMCG space
- A self-starter who is looking to work with an ambitious and dynamic team
- Networking, strategic, and structured communication skills to uncover new opportunities and deepen client relationships.
- Tenacity, drive, commercial awareness, persuasive and negotiation skills to progress and close deals.
- Target oriented – ability to meet both revenue and activity target monthly and annually.
- Ability to manage workload across all clients, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support.
- Ability to solve problems and react positively to change.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics is preferable.
