Deputy Municipal Building SurveyorPermanent Full TimeLocation: MorwellSalary: $102,311.38 to $113,818.75 plus 11% superannuationDepartment: Safe CommunitiesDo you want to make an IMPACT?We have an exciting opportunity to join Latrobe City Council as the Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor.The RoleYou will assist the Municipal Building Surveyor in the efficient administration and effective delivery of the regulatory functions defined in the Building Act and Council Plan and provide a professional and approachable customer focused advisory service.About YouAs the Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in carrying out the functions of Section 212 of the Building Act 1993. You will support the Municipal Building Surveyor in the management of the team by carrying out building audits, inspections and investigations under the provisions of the Building Act 1993 and Building Regulations 2018 to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for commercial, industrial, public and residential buildings throughout the municipality.You'll need:A relevant tertiary qualification in building surveying and subsequent relevant experience.Current Victorian Drivers Licence.Building Surveyor – Unlimited registration from the Victorian Building Authority or at the point of registration.Be physically capable of carrying out the full range of duties of the position (e.g. climbing ladders, inspecting underneath houses, etc.)Exceptional written, communication and administrative skills,Customer service experienceSuccessful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check, a Working with Children's Check and underake a pre-employment medical check.Go Further at Latrobe City CouncilA career with us begins with a desire to empower and make positive change within our Latrobe City Community.
