The Federation Project is expected to commence development in 2023 and beyond, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to influence and develop the site management plans, standards, processes and systems. The Great Cobar Project will follow, building upon the history of mining at the Peak Gold Mines. In addition, ongoing exploration success within our highly prospective tenements is expected to lead to a regular pipeline of projects requiring completion of scoping, design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.   The Role Join our dynamic maintenance services team at Peak Mine, located just 8 km south of Cobar township. We are seeking a skilled Statutory Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in guiding our electrical engineering projects. Reporting to the Group Manager – Maintenance Services, this role blends strategic oversight with practical engineering solutions in mine infrastructure, focusing primarily on High Voltage (80%) and Instrumentation (20%) and Control Systems. This role will be based at site on our Peak mine site. Flexible FIFO (from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Adelaide), DIDO or residential options available. Flexible roster options 8/6 for DIDO/FIFO or for a residential roster 5/2/4/3. Please note FIFO from Brisbane to Cobar will be on a charter flight.   Key Responsibilities Ensuring and monitoring safety in the workplace by identifying and addressing hazards, participating in improving safety and ensuring all reporting requirements are completed.Responsible for the health and safety of all electrical personnel working and maintaining site electrical infrastructure and project work.Ensure statutory compliance to Mines regulations and Australian Standards.Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks.Achieving budget costs and plant / equipment availabilities.Managing the maintenance effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency.Project manage infrastructure installations and upgrades.Support manufacturing department with product development and testingProvide quality…
