About the company We have partnered with a Queensland Government entity to recruit a AO7 lead management accountant who will assume a role in coordinating the management accounting process for the entity and provide analysis and advice in relation to the strategic and operational funding issues impacting on the development and management of budgets.About the role As the lead management accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial management and will be responsible for the following:Delivering high level analysis, review and reporting on the financial management and budget management within the organisation, including planning and coordination of the annual budget, forecasting and other periodic processes while meeting entities service commitmentsLeading and coordinating a high performing team focused on the delivery of professional and responsive services to support the Director, Finance and Assurance and the management of entity in general. This includes planning and overseeing the day to day workflows of the team, and delivering on key service objectives and organisational prioritiesDelivering effective management accounting services in accordance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements. This includes providing financial analysis, monitoring and investigation of financial performance against budgetReviewing and reporting on corporate performance to ensure service delivery targets are met.
