If you have experience in maintaining and repairing sawmill equipment and machinery, we want to hear from you.About the RoleAs a Sawmill Fitter at Hayden’s Timbers, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the sawmill equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various machinery, including saws, conveyors, and log processing equipment. Your expertise will contribute to minimising downtime, improving safety, and optimising production output.Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections of sawmill machinery to identify and diagnose issues.Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of sawmill equipment.Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritise maintenance activities.Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:Proven trade experience as a Mechanical Fitter or a similar trade role.Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sawmill machinery.Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving skills.Safety-conscious mindset.Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.Effective communication and teamwork skills.How to Apply If you are trade qualified Fitter looking for a challenging and rewarding career, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience or call Jo Ellerman on 02 66919106 for further information.
