ABOUT THE ROLE:AWX are seeking motivated individuals to join our client's Hay Processing Team in Paskeville.Our client is a hay exporter who process and export hay to specialist beef and dairy farms Asia and the Middle East. They have recently embarked on a phase of rapid growth, which included the recent acquisition of four hay processing facilities located in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria making the group a leader in the Australian Export Hay industry. BENEFITS OF THE ROLE:Be part of a fast paced rapidly growing agribusiness while based in Rural Australia.As part of a small and friendly yet highly motivated team.Good opportunity for professional development - We encourage training to ensure our team are always developing themselves.RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:Adhere to all Hay Australia OH&S, Quality and site systems policies and procedures.Follow maintenance procedures.Develop further maintenance procedures as required and ensure implementation.Carry out daily inspections of the facilities and all equipment to identify and resolve any issues.Involved in daily and Routine pre-start checks for machines.Be involved with planning, repair, and installation activities.Monitor equipment spare inventory and inform for further requirements.Follow MEX work order system to complete daily/routine PM Tasks.Prompt repairs by responding to emergency breakdowns and call outs.Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.Maintain maintenance schedule compliance.Logically analysis and problem solve process line faults.Trouble shoot all upstream and downstream processing equipment.Ensure housekeeping requirements and standards are met.Participate in Project work when required.Other duties as directed by the Production Manager and Operations ManagerREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:Experience in maintenance of fixed and mobile plant and machinery.Knowledge of PLC operated machines.Experience and understanding of Hydraulics system.Working knowledge of moving machines and equipment.Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.Hands on Mechanical, Hydraulic, and fitting shop work.Ability to keep track of and report on maintenance activity.Suitable Trade qualification required (welding, mechanical, hydraulic)Strong overall mechanical aptitude.Flexibility with work hours.Ability to pose new ideas and solutions.A can do attitude and willingness to get the job done.Driver's license.Forklift license.Working at height.Demonstrates initiative.Physically fit for dutiesDESIRED SKILLS:Previous experience operating a hay press, or a PLC controlled fixed plant.Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ElectromechanicsThe role is currently full-time permanent position Monday to Friday based at the Paskeville site.
