ABOUT THE ROLE:AWX are seeking motivated individuals to join our client's Hay Processing Team in Paskeville.Our client is a hay exporter who process and export hay to specialist beef and dairy farms Asia and the Middle East. They have recently embarked on a phase of rapid growth, which included the recent acquisition of four hay processing facilities located in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria making the group a leader in the Australian Export Hay industry. BENEFITS OF THE ROLE:Be part of a fast paced rapidly growing agribusiness while based in Rural Australia.As part of a small and friendly yet highly motivated team.Good opportunity for professional development - We encourage training to ensure our team are always developing themselves.RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:Operate machinery and hay press in accordance with safety standards, to meet product specifications, according to company and customer requirements and deadlines. Maintain a high level of quality control and hygiene standards through the identification of raw product types, variations, and characteristics. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the proper and safe function of all equipment.Operate and maintain mobile plant such as telehandler and forklift to move hay bales and finished goods within the processing facility.Always perform duties with the highest regard for safety, in accordance with Work Health and Safety requirements.Ensure accuracy and conformance with prestart checks and plant inspection processes.Maintain accurate record keeping of production documentation.Other production related duties as assigned by shift lead or supervisor to run and operate line effectively.REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:Mechanically minded and the ability to problem solve.Mechanical and hydraulics operation knowledge.Ability to work with tools for minor maintenance and servicing tasks.Good literacy and numeracy skills.Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic and self-motivated.A focus on health and safety.Driver's License.Previous experience operating a hay press, or a PLC controlled fixed plant.Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical background.High-Risk forklift license. If not held, the successful applicant will receive the required training and tickets.The role is currently full-time permanent position Monday to Friday based at the Paskeville site.
