MVR Retailers Pty Ltd is one of the biggest retail channels operating the business under the name of “Mobile Experts” and “The Mobile Company” boasts over 48 stores across Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Newcastle, Gold Coast is looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team.
Role responsibilities:
• Prepare core balance sheet and P&L reporting
• Prepare monthly financial reports for managers
• Managing cashflow including examining operating costs, income & expenditure for an up-to-date view of each retail store’s finances in real-time
• Assist in formulating budgets, forecasts, and accounting policies
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Exercise financial control and monitor the income and expenditure
• Respond to inquiries related to financial information
• Conduct financial investigations
• Help with the development and maintenance of accounting systems
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Managing each retail store’s tax compliance including Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) & Good & Services Tax (GST);
• Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
To be successful in this role, candidates will need the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor of Accounting
• Masters of Business Administration would also be highly regarded
• Minimum 2 year’s professional experience in accounting (paid work)
• Experience with Business Central, MYOB
• Advance in Excel (macro, V-Lookup, Pivot Table), SQL
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Attention to detail and high accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
