Traverse Alpine Group is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our team. The Kitchen Hand will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in the kitchen, including food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and wants to gain experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, peeling fruits, and preparing ingredients.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping the floors, wiping countertops, and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Dispose of trash and recycling.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or chef.
- Prior experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
