Housekeeping Attendant (Live Off) / Housekeeping Supervisor (Live On) Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia AboutKingfisher Bay Resort, nestled amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, is seeking dedicated individuals for Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant positions. We are also seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to live on the island. Our eco-friendly resort offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning environment while providing exceptional guest experiences.Position Overview As a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant/Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodation. This role offers consistent part-time employment of up to 76 hours per fortnight. You'll work across a broad 7-day rostering system 4/5 days a week and please note that commuting via the barge at River Heads is required for scheduled shifts.Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning tasks in guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities. Ensure all resort areas are consistently clean and orderly, including public spaces, corridors, and common areas. Adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. Handle and report lost and found items following resort policies. Assist guests with requests and inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient room turnovers and cleaning of public areas. Promptly report maintenance issues and damages for resolution. Follow established procedures for waste disposal. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies and to be able to work in the warm weather during summer days. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed. A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. Additional Requirements  - for Live Off Housekeeping Attendants Must be willing to commute via the barge at River Heads on scheduled shifts. Barge departure from River Heads at 6:45am for an 8:00am island start time.
