Principal Advisor, Transport and Main Roads

As Principal Advisor, you will have the opportunity to, but not limited to: Represent the department on committees and working groups. Contribute to the development of new directions in vehicle standards policy and legislation. Identify, evaluate and develop opportunities to improve and streamline current legislation, systems and processes. Prepare high level policy documents. Promote and ensure compliance of work or project team(s) with public sector legislation, standards, policies, practices and procedures. To be considered suitable for the role you will be able to demonstrate: Highly developed written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. A track record in effective collaboration and consultation with internal and external stakeholders. Appropriate research methodologies when developing policy.
