We are seeking a passionate and innovative Conference and Events Operations Manager to join our team on a 12 month parental leave contract. This is a ‘hands on’ role and working alongside your team you will deliver exceptional service to our guests making their experience at the Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach “Magnifique”.
The Role
- Ensuring conference, functions and events are operated in an efficient and profitable manner
- Ensuring team members are trained and competent in all service procedures to ensure a luxury guest experience
- Ensuring the ordering and replenishment of all stock required for the efficient and smooth running of the department i.e. bar and floor.
- Liaising with customers and Chef/Kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to
- Monitoring the financial results of the department, managing and forecasting wage costs and all other expenses
- Working closely with the Conference and Events team to ensure smooth transitions from planning to execution
