Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced Welder (First Class) to join their successful team in South Australia. The role will include assisting the workshop with metal fabrication repairs.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Welder (First Class) is responsible for manufacture and repair work on metal products and structuresKey responsibilities include: Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules Performing repairs and replace defective worn or metal parts Study blueprints/drawings and specifications for each job Dismantling and removing components, and checking parts Fabricates and repairs metal products using a variety of specialist welding techniques Select, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabrication Mark out metal sections and cut using appropriate tooling Align joins, join metal sections using precision welding techniques, bolting and riveting Examine welds for precision, and clean, polish, file and acid bathing for finish Smooth and grind welds as appropriate Qualifications required: Experience within a similar role Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent) At least 2 years of fulltime experience Have a good eye for detail Must have intermediate or above computer skills Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team Well developed communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures. Be motivated and able to achieve targets An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.This is offered at basic salary of between $ 60,000 - $ 90,000 p.a Superannuation
