Job Description About the role SCT has an exciting opportunity for a hard-working, proactive, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team based at our 24/7 Penfield operations. Your focus will be across both preventative and reactive maintenance of the SCT Locomotives and other plant equipment involved in our rail operations. This will give you the opportunity to embrace new and existing technology while positively managing relationships across our rail, intermodal and logistics functions of the Penfield site. Please note: this is a salaried role that works across an even time roster covering day and night shift. As a part of the maintenance team you will: Maintain rolling stock by executing adjustments, alignments, periodic servicing, repairs test and torque tasks of the locomotives. Adhering to manufacturer specifications when performing maintenance tasks. Maintain up-to-date records according to policy and procedure ensuring that accurate data is entered into SAP. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while performing all maintenance tasks. Work as part of a collaborative team and help support other team members on equipment operation and maintenance procedures when required. Participating in routinely scheduled equipment testing and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify areas of continuous improvement. Desired Skills and Experience About you Trade certificate in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. Qualified Diesel Mechanic or 2 years’ experience working in a heavy industry (on locomotives in a rail environment would be advantageous). Valid First Aid and forklift licence, desirable.
