Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd, a leading provider of marine services with a diverse client base including prime Defence contractors and commercial vessel operators, is currently seeking experienced Shipwrights to join our growing team. We offer casual roles with the potential for permanent positions, excellent rates, and overtime opportunities.
As a shipwright at Griffin Marine Services, you will:
Work from technical drawings to complete various job tasks
Use hand tools, power tools, machinery and heat treatments to manipulate different materials
Fit and install masts, frames, fittings, machines, shafts, safety equipment and other structures
Assess repair requirements and procedures for damaged vessels
Repair vessels using materials such as metals, reinforced plastics, carbon fibre, fibreglass, etc.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
MUST be able to read technical drawings and specifications.
Minimum of 2 years experience with a high level of adaptability.
A trade certificate (highly desirable)
High attention to detail and quality standards
Reliability and enthusiasm for your work
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Current driver's license with reliable transportation.
OHS Construction Induction White Card (Essential).
