Griffin Marine are currently seeking Mechanical/Diesel Fitters to join our Teams in Cairns, Darwin, Sydney and Perth. We are offering Permanent roles with excellent rates and overtime.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated Mechanical/Diesel Fitter/ Machinist with potential leading hand qualities to join our rapidly growing team. Initial focus will be hands on running the day-to-day duties, working closely with supervision and management to carry out the successful completion of site awarded contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and would strongly suit a self-motivated person.
Salary $60,000-$80,000 PA
What do we need from you?
White Card is essential
Valid and relevant trade qualifications (Mechanical or Diesel Fitter), certificates and licences
At least 2 years post-trade experience
Current drivers' licence with reliable transport
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
The ability to complete ongoing physically demanding tasks
A strong commitment to health and safety
Ability to manage teams and work well with small crews
Other desirable requirements (Not a must have):
Confined Space Entry
Fire Sentry Training
Working at Heights
High-Risk Forklift
Commercial and Defence marine vessel experience
