Your new role Support the development of the site-based knowledge and competencies for the management of critical environmental risks and that effect risk management compliances Coach staff on environmental management controls, including hazardous waste training, asbestos handling and spill management processes Branch Instructor - ability to conduct coaching guides and Verification of Competency on all yellow gear, plant and equipment, including HVDA’s trucks Lead and assist supervisors in delivering operational targets and business objectives Identification and implementation of operational efficiencies Implementation waste processing efficiencies Coordinate and schedule day to day operations Accurate incident reporting, notification and escalation Ensure all pre-start, post-run and minor day to day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of processing and sustainability Lead performance management investigations Your skills and experience Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and compliance and ability to work independently Undergraduate qualifications in engineering, science or other relevant disciplines, with a minimum of five years practical experience in environmental management Previous experience in high risk industry environments and certification of delivery and access training in accordance with Australian standard Certificate IV in Training Assessment Understanding and experience in working with transport, resource recovery, re-use and / or waste management.
