Fixed Plant Fitter About our role Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for experienced Fixed Plant Fitters to carry out maintenance & repairs of all fixed plant equipment within the processing plant across our three major operational sites, Carosue Dam, Jundee & Thunderbox, located in the Goldfields. Your main responsibilities will include: Perform servicing and preventative maintenance on plant Assessing the assigned job and obtaining tools and equipment to complete the assigned work Service breakdowns including pumps and conveyors Processing and crusher part replacements and repairs Ensure quality of information in CMMS (Pronto) database by providing accurate history, job time, hours worked and feedback to Supervisors. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company's Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Operate in accordance with the Company's Environment Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Participate in an call out roster as required General housekeeping of work area and plant in general Required skills and experience: Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting and Machining. Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience on fixed plant equipment. Current 'C' Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. Carry out routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant including preventative measures and condition reporting. Crusher and Mill experience. Centrifugal pump rebuild experience. Hydraulic fault finding and diagnostics favourable. Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
