Based in our client's Batchelor Plant, south of Darwin in Northern Territory, our client is one of Australia’s leading fully integrated beef, buffalo and camel meat processing company.We are looking for metal fabricators for our morning and afternoon shifts.We are looking for team players to undertake preventative maintenance on a variety of food manufacturing plant and equipment.You are required to weld various thicknesses of stainless-steel including sheet metal.You must complete welds to a high standard, fabricating metal products as necessary within the food production area when damaged.About you:We are seeking a fulltime experienced Metal Fabricator with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can work alongside an established team.To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:• Qualified as a Metal Fabricator through an apprenticeship or equivalent (AQF Certificate III or equivalent).• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements• Select, clean, and prepare metal stock• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering• Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments• Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting• Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision• Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing in acidic solutions• Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding• Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environmentIf you meet the above criteria and you’re interested in contributing to an organization that values the highest level of quality in everything it sets out to achieve, we want to hear from you!Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 per annum super. depending on skills, experience and qualifications.NB.
