Plant Operator 3298 | Parks & Recreation Services | Charlton Depot Closing date: 22/01/2024 WORK / LIFE BALANCE AS A PLANT OPERATOR, IN A FUN AND SUPPORTIVE TEAM About the position The Plant Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of plant ensuring quality assurance and best practice standards are maintained in the relevant work area, with a focus on providing a high level of stakeholder service to provide efficient delivery of the desired levels of service for open space areas within the Toowoomba Region. The position operates under limited supervision. The base wage rate for this position is $1,129.62 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. This is a Permanent Full time position, based at our Principal Depot in Charlton. Work a 9 day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off. Work in a safety-conscious organisation - home safe every day! How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description (attached). Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and work cooperatively, safely and ethically under limited supervision, using discretion in the selection and organisation of work processes and resources. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate accurately and provide advice in a helpful manner to a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate information and instructions effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to perform work at the horticulturalist trade or equivalent level with the ability to apply appropriate skills to suit varying demands of the work.
