How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

This role sits within our Power Generation, Energy team. Based in Sydney this role offers you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and passion as you work in a diverse and award-winning team on the design of some of Sydney’s most interesting projects, which also include solar, wind, battery energy storage, transmission & distribution and rail power projects.

We know the work Aurecon does is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Working with the Power Generation team, you will apply your sound knowledge and structural analysis and design experience with two or more years local experience across energy projects.
  • Proficient in relevant Australian Standards and capable of providing design solutions and documentation to support energy projects for various development types from feasibility, conceptual to detailed design.
  • Experienced in reinforced concrete and structural steel design and can undertake structural analysis with hand calculations, spreadsheets or software packages such as Spacegass/Microstran, SAFE, RAPT, TEDDS or similar.
  • Ability to work autonomously and develop quality structural calculations, drawings, reports, technical specifications and other design documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Use your ability to initiate and build relationships with both your peers and clients to push forward the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
  • Enjoy collaborating with colleagues nationally and internationally, as we utilise our people across ANZ and beyond to solve our clients’ problems.

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. A tertiary level qualification in Civil or Structural engineering will be required.
