A Rapidly Growing Renewable Energy Company Is Looking for a Finance Manager to Lead the Whole Finance Function Your new company A great opportunity to head up the full finance function for a rapidly growing renewable energy firm based in Sydney's CBD. With the continued and ongoing growth of the firm, this role has been created at a critical time, where an experienced Finance Manager is needed to solely run the financial operating for the company who own a number of renewable energy generating assets across the Victoria region. Your new role This position will be stand-alone and will report to the senior investment members and be responsible for the full accounting processes and management of the business. It is important that you are well versed in financial control, reporting and have a clear confidence in performing to a high standard while working autonomously.
The establishment, integration and ongoing management, including compliance functions, of the organisational structure including SPV's specific project requirements
Preparation and ongoing monitoring of annual operational and capital expenditure budgets across multiple projects
Quarterly board reporting process including presentation of financial reporting against budget, compliance activities, commercial related activities and other ad hoc items (as required)
Annual financial reporting including preparation of special purpose financial reports and management of external audit processes. Completion of equity investor reporting requirements
Maintaining and monitoring equity valuation forecasts and cash flow models
Oversight and approval of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general finance activities
Maintaining internal systems including accounting, banking and asset registers
Responsibility for payroll related activities
Responsibility for ongoing tax and other compliance requirements (GST, FBT, payroll taxes, income taxes, ABS filings, etc) and liaising with tax advisors as required
Responsibility for the monitoring of insurance arrangements and liaison with insurance brokers
Ongoing financial support and integration of new projects or acquisitions in conjunction with the broader team and shareholder representatives
Play a key role in customer and supplier contractual negotiations (provide internal modelling)
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelors qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Law
Professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA
Advanced computer software skills, particularly MYOB and Xero
Experience in the energy sector would be highly beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
