The position duties are listed below:
• Generate monthly financial statements, encompassing the statement of profit and loss, balance sheet, and statement of cash flow, for
presentation at board meetings.
• Ensure the accuracy and statutory compliance of information within financial reports, providing assurance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in the preparation of budgets and conduct cost/price analyses upon request.
• Handle the preparation and lodgement of BAS for GST payable and PAYG withheld.
• Oversee Inventory and Asset Management activities.
• Execute monthly accruals, prepayments, and entitlement reports.
• Manage daily cash counting, recording, and balancing processes.
• Assist in the coordination and facilitation of audits, contributing to the preparation of financial reports.
• Produce and submit the Monthly Community Benefit Report, reporting to the NT government.
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and software.
• Monitor and uphold internal control policies to ensure compliance
Qualification and essential skill requirements
• Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree with Accountant major
• Minimum 3 years working experience in similar role
• Experience with an Accounting software desirable
• Experience in hospitality industry
